REQUIREMENT:Degree in Maritime Management, Marine, Bachelor of Applied Science
(Maritime Technology) or any related field.
Interested in Teaching
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Developing and implementing new methods of teaching
Designing, preparing and developing teaching materials (course outline, lesson plan, class journal & module for diploma & degree programme)
Delivering lecturers, seminar and tutorials
Prepare and regularly update teaching files assigned by PCO
Assessing students' coursework
Prepare and marking examinations questions
Key in students result in AIS systems
Calculate student's attendance percentage and finalize barred list student
Invigilate examinations and practical training presentation
Supporting students through a pastoral/advisory role
Supervising students' activities
Involve with Marketing trip conducted by Marketing Department.
Undertaking continuous professional development and participating in staff training activities
Undertaking administrative tasks related to the department, such as student admissions, induction programmes and involvement in committees and board
Representing the institution at professional conferences and seminars, and contributing to these as necessary
Representative for students site visit in related industry
Assist the Deputy to arrange site visit, seminar and other training programme for diploma/degree students
May role as DPCO in case absence from work as a Deputy
Any relevant task given from time to time by Principal or Deputy Principal
